Here is the 1st
Deck Tips Guide which will be based on Elemental Dragons. Elemental Dragons have been described as the most overpowered archetype to be created since YGO began. Elemental Dragons focus on spamming the field is Level 7s and then XYZing in to Rank 7s a standard E-Dragon deck can spam the field with at least 2 to 3 Rank 7s per turn with the “Adult Dragons’” refilling resources every time they are removed from play.
#In Elemental Dragon the baby dragons search out the Adult Dragons to spam then the Adult dragons can use their effects (In Graveyard OR Hand) and remove dragons to then spam even more. With Dragons you can OTK/FTK or Play Controlled depending on your situation. They can even stand up to Verz decks with their Side Decking, and their Blasters effect. Here I will be explaining how to play with dragons and then explaining how to play against them.
To play with such a deck you need to have a deck to begin with. Here is a typical E-Dragon Build which you can make changes to if you wish.
3x Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos
3x Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls
3x Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Cyclones
3x Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders
2x Burner, Dragon Ruler of Sparks
2x Stream, Dragon Ruler of Droplets
2x Lightning, Dragon Ruler of Drafts
2x Reactan, Dragon Ruler of Pebbles
2x Effect Veiler
1x Light and Darkness Dragon
1x Eclipse Wyvern
1x Flamvell Guard
1x Debris Dragon
3x Super Rejuvenation
2x Gold Sarcophagus
2x Sacred Star of Seven Swords
1x Heavy Storm
1x Monster Reborn
1x Dark Hole
1x Burial from the Different Dimension
1x Return from the different dimension
2x Stygian Dirge/Skill Drain (Use this card against various decks for example Verz, Ophion requires 2 Level “4” Evilswarm Monster but with stygian on the field they will have 2 Level “3” Evilswarm Monsters on the field. You can also use Skill drain to cancel effects of Ophion but Stygian comes with less cost that Skill Drain
1x Starform Dragon
1x Trident Dragon
1x Crimson Blader
1x Black Rose Dragon
3x Big Eye
3x Mecha Phantom Beast Drago-Sack
2x Gaia Dragon, Thunder Charger
2x Master of Blades
1x Maestroke the Symphony Djinn
1x Constellar Ptolemys Messier 7
Here is the Elemental Dragon deck, now the thing you need to do is simple, use the Babys to discard itself and 1 other dragon type monster or one of the same attribute then SS an Adult Dragon do the same and then go into Dragosack mainly unless your opponent has a powerful monster which you should then take using Big Eye. But there isn’t a better way to learn how to play with them than to play with them yourselves
. But really, dragons don’t need much explanation.
Now when you are playing AGAINST Dragon Rulers here are some tips that you could/should use.
Firstly, if you are up against Dragons while using a minor deck tier 2 and below the best thing to do is go for field control; without field control there isn’t anything you can do. But the main part of playing dragons when NOT in a mirror match is the siding.
Here is a list of side deck cards that can be used against Dragons.
Imperial Iron Wall.
Droll & Lock Bird
Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo
Most of these are staple side-deck cards anyways so when playing against dragons these cards should kill the deck completely. But remember when siding you shouldn’t forget the main purpose of your deck.
